About Tigh an Uillt

Winner of the Cairngorm National Park design awards, Tigh an Uillt is a spectacular building blending modern open plan living with cosy traditional spaces. Tigh an Uillt means ‘house by the river’ in gaelic. True to it’s name, the lodge is nestled in the forest surrounded by trees on the banks of the river Nethy. The local shops and cafe are just a 5 minute walk away.

Tigh an Uillt comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests and has 5 bedrooms, two of which are ensuite, and another two bathrooms for shared use. The open plan living area includes a kitchen, large dining table seating up to 10 and a living area with a wood burning stove. There is a separate snug to relax in that can be shut off from the rest of the house, with a TV, board games and lots of books to read. High speed cable internet provides plenty of wifi for all your needs.

Outside, the lodge has a covered deck which overlooks the river. There is large picnic table and BBQ on the deck for dining alfresco, and a hot tub with an outdoor hot shower for your use. A garden room overlooks the river, which can be used as an additional bedroom, it is not part of the rental but can be available on request.

This is a village property and the neighbours are located close by, and are sensitive to noise so we ask that you please be considerate of them. Quiet hours are strictly from 9pm to 9am. This house is not suitable for parties.
